Our portfolio spans a wide range of work, from high-end custom homes and renovations to commercial construction, medical spaces, and office buildings. History
The Abascal Group is a family owned construction firm headquartered in Coral Gables, FL. The present day company is owned and operated by brothers Alejandro and Ignacio Abascal, but the story runs deeper. Their father, Ignacio Abascal, Sr., had worked for other successful Miami-area developers in the 1980s and early 90s before starting his own residential construction and development company. Alejandro and Ignacio were there every step of the way throughout childhood. Starting in high school, the two worked alongside their father in the construction of over 750 homes in Miami-Dade County.
Upon Ignacio, Sr.'s retirement, ABC Development was formed (Abascal Brothers Construction), which later became the Abascal Group. Services were expanded to include not only custom home construction, but also remodeling, commercial construction, tenant upfits/retail buildouts, and demolition. Of lately, Abascal Group can now provide turnkey pool contracting services through their sister company, Abascal Pools, LLC.
Today, Abascal Group is uniquely positioned to offer in-depth guidance on a wide range of construction methods. We believe that honesty and professionalism are paramount to our success, and we pledge to continue to uphold those same values in all that we do. Our entire team is committed to each and every construction project, and we strive to always serve our clients' best interests.
- 1983 - Ignacio Abascal, Sr., begins his career working for a prominent real estate developer in Miami, FL
- 1994 - Ignacio Abascal, Sr., starts his own residential construction and development company
- 1995 - Brothers Ignacio and Alejandro start working for their father during summers off from high school
- 2004 - Ignacio Abascal, Sr., retires and ABC Development is formed
- 2010 - First industrial demolition job at Miami International Airport
- 2010 - Multi-story office building completed in downtown Miami
- 2013 - The Abascal family celebrates 30 years of quality construction
- 2017 - First medical office building completed
- 2019 - ABC Development rebrands as Abascal Group
- 2023 - Abascal Group launches Abascal Pools to serve the needs of Miami-Dade County, offering fast, efficient and affordable pool construction services
- 2024 - Abascal Group celebrates 20 years of building excellence in Miami, FL

Safety
Abascal Group is dedicated to providing and maintaining a safe and secure worksite. Throughout our history, we have consistently outperformed the industry standards and maintained excellent OSHA inspections. We view safety as a responsibility to which all employees are held accountable. While our superintendents are responsible for enforcing best practices on the construction site, our project managers also routinely inspect. We provide weekly sessions for our subcontractors and strive for a clean and orderly jobsite.

Alejandro Abascal's entire life has been defined by the construction industry, working alongside his father and brother since he was a child.
